Dr. Cheryl Cooper has over 25 years of experience within the technology and cybersecurity industries, and on top of that, Dr. Cooper served in the U.S. Navy as a Telecom Technology Controller. Under her belt, she holds a doctorate in Computer Science with a concentration in Information Assurance, a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice with a Specialization in Cybercrime, and multiple certifications–  Information System Security Professional (CISSP) under the governing body of the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), a Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer (CDPSE) under the governing body ISACA, and a Certified Information Systems Security Auditor (CISSA).

The last thing Dr. Cooper is, is underqualified.

Within her years in many industries, Dr. Cooper is not only extremely experienced and well-versed, but she has been face-to-face with the underlying biases and sexism that control these industries today. While devoting herself to her cyber career, she is equally devoted to fighting alongside the women in career fields that are run by the majority. Dr. Cooper dedicates her time to opening up opportunities for women and helping them visualize their potential and endless career possibilities. Dr. Cooper has become the Women’s Champion, standing side-by-side with the women of her community and beyond to fight for equality for all.

Dr. Cooper utilizes her speaking opportunities, workshops, summits, and mentorships to spread positivity and motivation to women everywhere and help get them on the path to personal and professional success.
